This policy was written in response to reports that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is requesting bloggers post disclosure statements. While I do not benefit financially from my blog, I have decided to post this policy to make that clear.

This policy is valid from 1 January 2010 and applies to all previous content which has been posted by me on my site and is still publicly viewable.

This blog is a personal blog whose content is written, edited, and copyrighted by me, unless otherwise noted. For questions about this blog, please contact me by email by clicking here.

This blog does not accept any form of advertising, sponsorship, or paid insertions. I write for my own purposes. However, I may be influenced by my background, occupation, atheism, political affiliation or experiences. The owner of this blog has not received and does not intend to receive compensation in any way from this blog. Should this change in the future, this disclosure message will be updated prior to accepting any such compensation.

The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely those of the blog owner, unless otherwise indicated. If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Mention of a product, service, company, or individual, or a recommendation to visit a link to any of these, should not be construed as endorsement. Any claim, statistic, quote or other representation should be verified with the provider or manufacturer.

The owner of this blog would like to disclose the following existing relationships. I am a paying member of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, as well as a non-paying member or participant in a number of other atheist-, skeptic-, and freethought-related organizations and websites. My comments are my own and do not in any way represent their views or opinions, unless otherwise noted.
